Not illustrated. 1827 Excerpt: ... it has been considered more expedient to endow an infirmary for the reception of the sick and wounded poor, and out of the residue of the fund, the corporation, who have the management of it and the appointment of a master, give 100/. a year to decayed house-keepers. The estates of the Poers, the founders of this hospital, have now passed into the hands of the Marquess of Waterford, whose ancestor appropriated the interest arising out of 3,110/. at 5L per cent, for founding another institution of the same kind in the city, the house being granted by the corporation. To one of these hospitals, ten barrels of wheat yearly were bequeathed by William Dobbin of Waterford, as appears by his will under date 1663 in the Prerogative office.
