About the Author

Reverend Alexander Berghold was a parish priest in New Ulm, Minnesota and author of several popular books including "Land and People" and "Prairie Roses." Don Heinrich Tolzmann is the president of the Society for German-American Studies, and director of the German-American Studies program at the University of Cincinnati. He lives in Cincinnati.
