DOUG LEMOV is a managing director of Uncommon Schools, which runs forty-nine high-performing urban charter schools. Doug is the author of Teach Like a Champion, Reading Reconsidered, and Practice Perfect.

JOAQUIN HERNANDEZ is an associate director of professional development at Uncommon Schools, where he studies classroom instruction to identify and write about highly effective teacher and instructional coaching practices. He also designs classroom resources, as well as online and in-person teacher training.
