The reviser studiously confined himself to only revising the SPELLING of words such as “worketh”, “saith”, or “hast” to ‘works’, ‘says’, and ‘have’ [respectively]. The three (3) exceptions to this confinement are: “wot/wit”; “nigh”; and “betwixt”; which are replaced by ‘knew/know’; ‘near’; and ‘between’ [respectively].
