Synopsis

This book offers a comprehensive guide to using video intervention in psychotherapy or mental health coaching. A video is made of a patient interacting with someone else. The patient and the therapist then explore it together, profiting from its rich information.

Downing clearly elaborates each step of such an intervention. Numerous possible techniques are described. If and when to bring in more such sessions is explained. How in couple or family therapy to use such work is covered as well.

The book is designed so that any therapist or mental health coach can begin with video intervention at once. This is invaluable reading for anyone wanting to start in and to build up increasing expertise with this significant contribution to therapeutic work.
