About the Author

COLETTE (RUEL) HOWERY was born in northern Saskatchewan, Canada; she completed her schooling in a French community in northern Alberta prior to moving to Edmonton to study Nursing. She is the oldest daughter in a family of eight children who were all involved in their parents' family businesses. She lived her married life in Viking, AB where her three sons were born and raised. She claims that being a MOM was the best thing that ever happened to her and that her nursing career fulfilled her purpose in helping others. When suddenly introduced to a world of immense grief; Colette felt she had no choice other than to learn as much as she could about grief before sorrow had a chance to consume her.
