Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) offer profound social and economic benefits, empowering colleagues to build meaningful networks beyond bureaucratic barriers. These connections foster collaboration, drive innovation, and help solve complex challenges.
Even more importantly, finding a sense of belonging—especially within large corporations—is essential for personal well-being and professional fulfilment. Employee Resource Groups provide a vital space for colleagues to share their aspirations and struggles with like-minded peers. They create opportunities for mentorship, mutual support, and a deeper appreciation of the unique perspectives individuals bring to decision-making—ultimately helping them thrive in the workplace.
Blueprint is rooted in firsthand experience, drawing from the establishment of an Employee Resource Group within a global corporation. This book serves as a practical guide for those taking the next courageous step in fostering inclusivity and transforming their workplace into a more supportive and connected environment.

Toni Horn is a renowned neurodiversity consultant, international speaker, and founder of NeuroEmpower CIC. She discovered the ERG founded by Cameron and, in that moment, found her tribe, realising she was not alone. This sense of connection led her to become an active member, eventually energising and co-chairing the group. Drawing on her lived experience and leadership within ERGs, Toni helps organisations build inclusive cultures where everyone can thrive. She is also the author of Emily's Unique Melody, a children's book that celebrates thinking differently and embracing neurodiversity from an early age.
Cameron Kennedy has worked for boutique firms and global corporations. In 2019, he founded an Employee Resource Group at a global bank for colleagues who identified as being neurodiverse. His motivation was to transform the workplace by empowering individuals to talk confidently about their needs and perspectives. Over the next two years, he grew a global network, providing the structure and leadership for the group to become self-sustaining and vibrant.
Cameron believes finding your 'tribe', particularly within large corporations, is key to professional fulfilment. Employee Resource Groups deliver this need, providing a rally point around which fragmented colleagues holding similar world views and formative experiences may converge. Ultimately, this not only enables minority groups to develop a confident voice but also for the organisation to harness the diversity of perspectives which underpin resilience and innovation.
