She is very active in medical education and her contributions include the re-development of the Royal College of Surgeons of England’s intermediate laparoscopic skills course and training junior surgeons on the Core Skills in laparoscopy and Basic Surgical Skill courses.

Amber Shivarajan is a Specialty Training Registrar (ST3) in the South-East London general surgical training programme. She graduated from the University of Nottingham and completed her post-graduate foundation and junior surgical training in hospitals around Greater Manchester and South London.
