Synopsis
Mayline Relix, recovered from her stint in the fiery pits of Hell, is sent on another mission. This time, rather than close a Hell Gate, her mission is to deliver a message from the leaders of the Hide to the ultimate powers of the Raceling world, the Cornerstones. But her arrival is tainted by the realization that her own Cornerstone, Chaos, is much more of a threat to the world than Mayline had previously thought. Traveling to Italy on the orders of Angels, her harrowing journey is filled with intrigue and lies. Amid the turmoil, Mayline begins feeling the effects of her time in Hell. Something dark and sinister lingers under her skin. Anxiety and panic rear their ugly heads in a way that Mayline never thought possible. Will Mayline be able to overcome the aftershocks of Hell and complete her mission? Or will she fall to the lies surrounding her, the panic that bleeds into her every thought, and the ever-present and growing Call of her Sire?
