Dr. Shannon Williams, a native Houstonian, is an entrepreneurial evangelist, writer, researcher and consultant. Her research examines the intersections between entrepreneurship and economic development, specifically how incubating micro-enterprises in disadvantaged communities can result in the socioeconomic transformation of these emerging markets. Dr. Williams is the founder and co-founder of several successful businesses that have beaten the odds to survive and thrive for more than a decade.
