Synopsis

I had no idea what kind of year 2016 was going to be. Tragedies were rampant, violence was prevalent, division and hatred seemed to be at a level I had not experienced in my lifetime. At the outset, I was hoping that a spiritual journey would help me learn more about God’s spirit and the world He created, but every day the world seemed to throw questions at me faster than I could find answers. And as the year progressed, the bulk of my writing centered less around the works I was reading and more around current events. I began to consistently ask myself how a Christ Follower is supposed to live in today’s culture. How do we accurately show our faith? When the world seems to be two sides fighting against each other all the time, where do we fit? When there is no clear right or wrong sometimes, how do we respond? Avoidance? Engagement? To what level? This book is a peek into my mind as I’ve wrestled with these questions.
