"Choosing the 'Right'” is a respectful yet unblinking look at the unintended consequences of having some 70 percent of the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon) in the United States affiliate with the Republican Party. This straightforward book by Larry Alan Brown, a faithful member of the LDS Church, demonstrates how this overwhelming imbalance is having a troubling impact on the Church’s image, its worldwide missionary program, member unity and the viability of political checks and balances in Utah, home of the Church’s worldwide headquarters. Brown also identifies practical actions that Latter-day Saints can take to address these challenges. The book is written in layman’s terms for a broad audience, both inside and outside the LDS Church, who would like a candid, in-depth and rarely seen glimpse into this important facet of Mormon culture.

He loved adventuring into ports of call in Europe, Scandinavia, the Far East and Africa. The author made his career in the computer industry in the Silicon Valley corridor of Northern California where he published a book about program management.
