About the Author

Sheena Perry is originally from Dallas, TX. She was raised by her teenage single mother, Tonya. Sheena is the oldest of two children. Sheena’s mother fell prey to the booming crack cocaine era of the 1980’s. At tender age of three, Sheena and her brother were removed from the home and placed into separate foster homes. While her brother was placed into a fairly nice foster home, she however suffered unimaginable abuse at the hands of her foster parents. She went days without eating, was fed dog food and she was tied to a chair throughout the day. Her thighs are still branded with the markings from the tight ropes. Her mother was able to quickly regain custody of both children. However, later the same year she was molested by her mother’s fiancé. Immediately reporting the abuse to her mother, the monster was quickly apprehended and served a lengthy stint in prison. Prison did not stop Sheena’s molester from issuing out death threats. He was heavily involved in the drug world and his threats were taken very seriously. Sheena’s mom relocated her small family to Columbus, GA. The once bubbly outgoing little girl had been replaced by an insecure, self-loathing shell of her former self. As she became older, Sheena would contemplate suicide numerous times to cope with the unfortunate cards she had been dealt. Sheena’s mother continued to battle with her drug addiction throughout her childhood and into her young adulthood. Sheena has always had a deep passion for reading and writing. Reading has always been her outlet to escape the obstacles that she faced on a daily basis. She enjoys romance, mystery, horror, autobiographies, thrillers and urban novels. She currently lives in Florissant, MO. Despite her rough beginnings, she was able to conquer all of her hurdles and meet many of her goals. She was able to purchase her first house at the age of 20. A year later she gave birth to her daughter, Aaliyah. Somehow, she managed to overcome the murder of her daughter’s father, who was killed by the police when their daughter was just 4 months old. Sheena is an Author, Publisher and the CEO of Sheena Perry Publishing. She is also Registered Nurse. Sheena has a Master’s degree in Nursing Education. She is currently in school pursing her Doctorate degree. Inevitable Deceptions: The Heart’s Journey to Nowhere 1 is Sheena’s debut novel. She is currently working on the sequel. Please stay tuned!
