About the Author

Walter Ansel Strong III was born on the north side of Chicago, grew up in southern Wisconsin and settled in northern Illinois. As a member of the third generation of a newspaper publishing family, the graphic arts industry was the focus of his working life. Later in life he began to write for himself, and this book is the result. The reader will find reflections on every stage of his life, on anthropology, botany, politics, technology, economics, friendship, family, and dachshunds.
