About the Authors

Jim Richards has served the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention (SBTC) as the Executive Director since its founding in 1998. He came to the SBTC after more than twenty years of pastoring a local church and serving as an associational director of missions. Richards has traveled and ministered in all 50 states, as well as 19 countries. His background has been one of service to the Southern Baptist Convention denomination, including serving as the first vice president of the SBC. He earned his master of divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and a doctor of ministry from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary.
