Great communication is vital, and we live in an age where communication has been transformed in mind-spinning ways. And at the same time, the fundamentals of effective and successful communication remain the same. Whether we’re emailing, texting, posting, or blogging, if we don’t have credibility, if we generate inappropriate emotions, and if our logic is flawed, nobody will pay attention to us. And with attention spans as short as they are, we need every bit of help we can get. Exceptionally Human: Successful Communication in a Distracted World, dips into time-tested, authenticated, and truly enduring communication principles while adding a modern twist. By demonstrating credibility’s power, emotion’s impact, and logic’s ability to lead, readers enjoy valuable insights that they can apply to their own communication practices, at work and elsewhere, so that they can make the connections and maintain the working relationships they want and need. Complete with practical skills and tips, Exceptionally Human is a valuable read for anyone who wants to be paid attention to, in a world where attention spans are in short supply.
