Synopsis

From the best-selling author of the Timesplash series, Graham Storrs, comes an urban sci-fi thriller that stands the genre on its head. Arramar is a mindrider, an incorporeal alien who lives in the minds of other species, and his people have arrived here to colonise the Earth. But Arramar begins to see that humanity is not an appropriate species for colonisation, not least because they are already inhabited by the indigenous, mind-dwelling monsters his people call “nightmares”. Now, as a war between his colony and the nightmares begins to escalate, with collateral damage among the humans inevitable, he is desperately trying to persuade his people to leave. But the leader of the colony has disappeared and both his own people and the human military are hunting him down. His only allies in his struggle to save the Earth are a handful of humans whose minds he rides and who are as scared and confused as he is.

About this title

About the Author

Graham Storrs is a former research scientist who now lives in the Australian bush and writes science fiction. He has published short stories and eleven novels, covering all the major sci-fi themes, including time travel, dystopian futures, transhumanity, alien invasion and space opera and, within each theme, he likes to mix it up, writing thrillers, adventure and comedy. Keeping the science real is as important to him as keeping his characters real and his books and stories are heavily researched. He does most of his writing outdoors, in the mountains and gum forests that surround his home.
