About the Author

Judgement Dave was born David John Buckley but very quickly (after only 40 years) decided that his given name didn’t sound right for comedy. That it didn’t sound right had never occurred to him mainly because the idea of doing anything other than software/BI development hadn’t really been considered. Given that he loved puns and had already been Judgement Dave online for 6 years (partly due to the City of Heroes MMO and partly due to Terminator 2) that seemed the logical nom de guerre for his comedic exploits. Now that he’s got the name right all he needs to do is to become funny. Hopefully that won’t take another 40 years, even though it may presently seem to be an impossible challenge. Since turning his attention to comedy, Judgement Dave has performed stand up (usually as one of the many Increasingly Unconvincing Characters of Judgement Dave, such as Gunther or Mr Dolphin), created many Youtube films, had success with short screenplays and sitcom pilots and has seen his sketches performed on stage, in several podcasts and by London’s record-breaking NewsRevue and BBC Radio. He’s currently working on a full length novel, a book of shorter works and assorted projects for live performance and podcast/YouTube.
