Synopsis

I have purposely designed volumes 1 & 2 of 'The Adventures of Rust Redcoat' to reach out to the younger reader as it is they who will inherit the terrible mess which presently exists in England and Wales where the adult powers-that-be have allowed the alien, disease ridden, Grey Squirrel to reach plague proportions these past fifty years, or more, to the extent that our indigenous British Red Squirrel has been almost rendered extinct in England and Wales as a direct result of their neglect, failure and incompetence, to deal positively with the problem which has cost, and totally wasted, many millions of pounds of public money to date. Boastful promises have not been kept and woeful forecasts wrongly predicted over the years by those who would not recognise a Red Squirrel from a Weasel in that now, we find the age old problem of the deadly parapox virus rampant along the Border with Scotland from Berwick upon Tweed in the east to Dumfries & Galloway in the west. It has to be clearly understood, by all concerned, that the alien Scottish Grey Squirrel is not a carrier of the deadly virus thus they are able to live side by side with Scotland's indigenous Red Squirrel however, the reader does not need to have a Master's Degree in Quantum Physics to realise just what will happen when the deadly, disease ridden, English Greys find a way to cross the border north into Scotland ! This is exactly why the children, particularly in Scotland, must ensure that those responsible adults, on both sides of the border, must get their heads together simply because, if the situation is allowed to continue unchecked, as it has done in England and Wales for decades, then there is no doubt whatsoever that our adorable British Red Squirrel will, ultimately, end up disappearing altogether, just like the long extinct Dodo.
