When Somali pirates hijack an American sailboat with two couples on board, well-known
New York photographer Channey Moran has no idea he will soon play a part in a
dangerous rescue mission led by a former CIA operative and linguist
hiding in Belfast from the CIA and Interpol.
Then Channey’s name and number, scribbled on an old, torn letter, are found by the
police in the pocket of a homeless woman found dead in New York’s Tompkins Square
Park. He hasn’t a clue who she is, until he deciphers the bottom half of two Irish Gaelic
words torn in half.
Photo Shoot is a 113K-word novel that examines how unforeseen choices that connect
both events – the pirate attack and the dead woman – propels Channey into a gripping
evaluation of his life. Surviving the mission is in question, and he must decide to what
