About the Author

James "Doc" Manniken was born in the Trans-Mississippi and educated in the Secessionist hotbed of Baltimore, where he read English, American and French literature at the Johns Hopkins University. He has lived in Providence,Rhode Island, New York City, and Le Mans, France, but resides today in his home state of Arkansas. "Strange Tales of the West" is his first book.
