About the Author

Peter J. Brennan has been a journalist for more than 30 years.

His career includes a decade in Latin America where he covered economies, wars and natural disasters in Central America, Cuba and Venezuela. He won a Kiplinger Fellowship at The Ohio State University, which awarded him a masters in journalism for his thesis on the economic impact of illegal immigrants in the U.S.

His articles have appeared in dozens of newspapers around the world, including The New York Times and The Washington Post. He has written for Arthur Laffer, inventor of the famous Laffer Curve.

He worked an editor and reporter at Bloomberg News, where his headlines and stories moved the market capitalization of companies by hundreds of millions of dollars. He is currently the Financial Editor of the Orange County Business Journal.
