At age 75, Dr. Bob Brown is in the best shape of his life—with more energy than most people half his age! But before achieving radiant health, he had to come face to face with debilitating disease and the failures of modern medicine—for his family, his patients, and himself. Why? The Question that Could Save Your Life exposes many of the obstacles blocking the road to ideal health and medical treatment—and how to overcome them. Dr. Bob shows you: — How to be proactive with your health, participate in medical decisions—and make sure your doctor is doing his or her job — Why treating symptoms only will never allow you to achieve optimum health — The astonishingly overlooked relationship between diet and disease Dr. Bob is not afraid to tackle corruption and dysfunction within the medical/pharmaceutical industry, including what he calls “legal drug abuse” and the incompetence of our educational system to teach true health. Fortunately for his readers, the goal of this book is not only to save lives—but to make those lives really worth saving.

Brown is director of the Advanced Oral Diagnostics and Treatment Center in Danville, California, where he specializes in temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ), myofacial pain syndrome, and dental sleep medicine. Dr. Bob (as he’s called by his patients) graduated from the University of California at Berkeley, where he majored in physiology and chemistry. He then attended the University of California Medical Center, graduating second in his class with a DDS specializing in orthodontics. Ten years later, he became a major consultant for Kaiser Hospitals in the fields of TMJ and myofacial pain. Memberships include the Foundation for Orthodontic Research, through which he promotes holistic health studies and introduced the concept of Zero Based Orthodontics, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM). He is also on the board of directors of the School of Better Physiology, which teaches breathing to control blood oxygen and carbon dioxide, helping to regulate blood acidity and optimal oxygen levels. Many civic organizations and services have benefited from Dr. Bob’s leadership and guidance. He is the founding father of the Discovery Center, a successful center that provides services and support, including full-time psychologists, for places like foster homes for battered children and for people who are dealing with drug addiction—all at whatever price they can afford. He is founder of the San Ramon Valley youth council, which brings high school kids together to help build the community; president of the Danville Rotary Club; and founder of the first senior citizens’ “Dial a Ride” program.
