Born and raised in Newburgh, N.Y. Shanda Freeman was destined for great accomplishments! Her 8 year career as a Case Manager and Counselor in HIV/AIDS Awareness and Prevention services laid the groundwork for her Sex and Relationship advice podcast Man and Wife created by her and her husband, FatMan Scoop in 2007. With the success of their podcast garnering them a viewership of 5 million plus, Man and Wife debut on MTV in 2008! In branching out on her own as a writer and advice columnist, Shanda created her popular vlog Shanda Says! With her unabashed and genuine advice, she has been a contributor to numerous media outlets such as; Essence.com, AOL BlackVoices, The New York Post, Plus Model Magazine, Straight Stuntin Magazine and Hello Beautiful.com to name a few. In a accomplishing her childhood dream from her love for fashion, Shanda created Shanda Style in 2012. Her career as a clothing designer has garnered her much recognition debuting her first collection at Maryland Fashion week and New York Fashion Week in 2012. In 2013 she had the honor of debuting her second collection at BET’S RIP THE RUNWAY at NYC’s Hammerstein Ballroom. She was also the featured designer at Curves Rock Weekend in Baltimore Maryland and POSH LA Fashion Weekend in California. In June 2014 she will be showing at FFF Week in NYC and is nominated for Designer of the Year by PLUS NIGHT OUT. In combining her love in literary and media, in 2014, she started her own production company, Left Lane Productions. Her goal is to continue publishing novels and audiobooks as well as writing and producing shows for television and film.
