About the Author

André Faizi Alves has a Master’s Degree in Organization Development from the Graduate School of Business at Loyola University Chicago (USA), and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economic Sciences from UNISINOS University (Brazil). He was an associate professor of Organization & Systems and Administrative Methods & Processes at UnB – University of Brasilia (Brazil). His career has highlighted work with Decision Making and Team Management, Organization Development and Change, Strategic Management, and Corporate Finance. He also possesses good general knowledge in most other major functional areas. Mr. Alves has lived and worked on three different continents, in both government and private sectors, not-for-profit and for-profit organizations, and in production and service industries. His accomplishments include initiating and orchestrating turnarounds, participating in a very successful startup, and contributing toward the advancement of strategies, operations, and cultures in diverse organizations. His professional experience also extends to consulting and training. The driving force behind all those endeavors is Mr. Alves’ constant dedication to serving society. This dedication has also led him to work for many years as a volunteer. In all instances, professional and non-professional, he has focused his heart, mind and actions on making this world a better place.
