About the Author

Captain Bill Travis was born on a farm in Tennessee. His parents migrated to Detroit to work in the auto factories, and Bill dropped out of school in the 10th grade to work in those factories. After two years he decided to quit the factories and set a goal of getting a white collar job and earn $10,000 per year. A few years later he had realized those goals. He flew for Zantop Air Transport for seven years, and Pan Am for 28 years. After retiring he started his own 17 piece swing band in San Francisco. When he relocated to Phoenix, he sold the band, and started his own real estate brokerage, which he operates today. His next book, targeted for July 2014 completion is on health and fitness. He is training to compete in a bodybuilding contest in July 2014, at the age of 80.
