About the Author

Bernice is a long-time artist/writer/illustrator/play- wright and naturalist who has read many fine books in her life, including some classic children's books which are still her favourites. Born in Toronto she came to BC with her (now deceased) husband and four girls (a fifth born in BC) and settled on the mainland. Now a great grandmother she moved to Vancouver Island, BC with her partner Gord and resides in the lovely little town of Chemainus where she continues to make art and write.
