Synopsis
A new collection of over 50 short solo pieces for the beginner on classical guitar, this is enjoyable and effective repertoire for learners of all ages at this level. It has proven to be a worthy resource for use at various stages during the first two years of any student’s formal tuition (Preliminary to 2nd Grade).
To support the musical and technical directions of the beginner, these two-part solos have been divided into three distinct sections; rest-stroke with non-coincidental parts, free-stroke with coincidental parts, and rest-stroke with coincidental parts.
The repertoire provides a variety of musical contexts that students like playing; Spanish and Latin style songs, traditional folk songs, classical music themes, as well as original pieces by the author (view contents and internal pages at www.classicalguitarhowto.com). All music is presented in standard music notation only.
Instructors should note that some of this content also appears in the publication “Guitar for Kidz Vol 2” by the same author.
