About the Author

Andrew Amster was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky. He was accepted into a creative writing program as a college freshman which was clearly ridiculous since he had yet to do anything in his life and had nothing to write about. Predictably, this lead to his professors calling his poems “didactic” and his short stories “melodramatic horseshit.” Since then, he has lived a bit. He has been a geologist, a teacher, a writer/editor of assorted science educational doodads, and has eventually seen years do what years have always done. He is the father of two, the husband of one, and is unapologetic for any poem he may have happened to write about a supercontinent.
