About the Author

Debbie Johnson brings her business expertise and extensive nonprofit volunteering to bear, helping clients be strategic in their philanthropy.

Debbie is a native Nebraskan, graduated from the University of Nebraska and took additional advanced coursework from MIT and Peter Senge (The Fifth Discipline). She has written articles for many publications, both print and on-line, and has enjoyed many speaking engagements and has led many seminars on various topics as well.

Sam Woolard is passionate about connecting the business community with the nonprofit community so that they can effectively work together to address community challenges.

Sam was born in England and moved to the United States when she was fourteen. She is grateful that philanthropy was at the forefront of her childhood and thankful that every day she gets to work with people who want to make the world a better place.
