Synopsis

Jerry, who can best be described as one who would pause before treading on fresh snow, finds his world deplorably lacking in virtue following the death of his father, a concert pianist. Seventeen and now without structure, Jerry narrates his simultaneous pursuit of love and morality. You hear his thoughts throughout the book as he spends most of his time in an often humorous fantasy world, while trying to navigate the real one. Oddly, in his fantasy relationships with girls, he fares no better than in real life. In short, this is a story recalling the meeting of powerful, youthful daydreams with reality.
