Synopsis

Some people let the rich experiences of their lives flit by without much thought. Others think long and hard about how these experiences shape them and write their words down so others can learn to appreciate the moments of their own lives.

Kenneth E. Williams Jr., author of Open 2 Truth, fits into the latter category. During his life, Williams has studied and written about his complex experiences, and his writings have become a collection of poems—poems he is ready to share.

He writes of the struggle of black men and women yearning for equality in a country that refuses to acknowledge its complicated racial past and present. He writes about growing up with no father but God. He writes about the delights and pains of love. He writes his life.

No one can perfectly understand another’s point of view, but the fluidity of poetry allows for the expression of one’s otherwise incommunicable emotions. Kenneth E. Williams Jr. elegantly expresses his emotions and experiences through verse that is as bold and free as his soul. You’ll find that his truth can help you to live more fully or at least more honestly.
