Synopsis

In Heart's Desire, hard work, honesty and a boundless heart underline this rags-to-riches story which offers a front row view of the often opulent world of horse training and breeding, including the competition, the successes and, yes, the pitfalls. From the small-town farms and fields of East Texas to the exotic Emirate of Fujeira, young and beautiful Emylou's pursuit of her single-minded passion - working with horses - takes her on a journey filled with heady success, stunning wealth and a passionate, yet heart-breaking, love affair. Her innate skill and acquired expertise at training and breeding show horses ultimately land Emylou in the employment of Countess Charlotte DeLys, owner of the most famous horse ranch in Texas. She enjoys enormous success and fame working with the Countess's majestic Arabian stallion, Adonis, but also falls headlong into a love affair with the owner's son, Jean-Claude. Devastated by his betrayal following the unplanned but pivotal blessing of a daughter, Emylou comes to realize what her heart desires and attains far more in life than she could ever have imagined.
