Synopsis
The Bay Gull is a story about a cute, friendly sea gull who finds a bagel and shares his treat with friends on his journey throughout Narragansett Bay. The sea gull starts his trip in Bristol, RI and makes his way to Block Island, RI stopping at several locations including Hog Island, Prudence Island, Beavertail and Newport. An illustrated map highlighting the sea gull's journey provides a geography lesson for readers. Although the book is based is RI, the audience is all children at heart who enjoy a great story.

About the Author
Emerson M. Colwell, Jr. has been drawing cartoons as long as he can remember. Born and raised in Bristol, RI, most of his drawings involve fishing and sailing, two of his favorite hobbies. Emerson currently resides in Arizona with his wife and three children. Memories of his favorite activities back east and spending many, many nights reading to his own children have truly inspired this book. He also continues to draw cartoons and now they often reflect his current landscape in the desert.
