Synopsis

Christians today face a daunting problem. We know what we should be doing—scriptures and teaching abound detailing the wonderful lives and great feats we should be experiencing. But instead, we often struggle just to get by. Well, not all of us, of course, but enough of us that Lou Ellen Hoffman, a pastor of over 20 years, has gone before the Lord to understand why. Why do God’s people sometimes languish in the same old sins, the same toxic thinking, the same aimless living when they should be strong, purposeful, and effective for the Kingdom of God? The result of her study is before you. In patient detail, Lou starts from the beginning. “A is A” goes the familiar saying. Salvation, water baptism, and Holy Spirit baptism are examined in detail. When the results are not what you expected, examine your starting point. There is no shame in falling short, in failing to be all that you (and God) think you should be. The bar is set high for a reason—to attain it! We stand at the juncture of God and man, the horizon of earth-bound men and women who gaze into the heavens and wonder what it will take to attain all that they yearn for in their hearts. What it will take is a Re-Start—a revaluation of the basics, an examination of the premise that we have built our spiritual lives on. Do you need a restart? Do you know someone who does? Get this message to them. The results will be dramatic and eternal.
