Synopsis
In 1896 Dr. George Edenharter, the superintendent of Central Indiana Hospital for the Insane in Indianapolis, designed and built a forward-thinking center on the hospital's grounds. The building set a precedent since that time Indiana and its physicians caring for the mentally ill have built other outstanding facilities and have taken landmark research into psychiatric diseases into new territory.
