Synopsis
Uhuru settles in Rotterdam, with a geology degree from a European university and hope for a career at Royal Chelloil. But swift rejection leads to a degrading and dangerous life as an illegal alien. Working odd jobs to support his family, a loving wife, Mapenzi, and his daughter, Juliana, he faithfully sends home money to Uganda every month. But as gardener at the House of Java, the sophisticated Inge tests Uhuru's marital fidelity. Her rebuffed suitor seals his fate.

About the Author
Bwire was born in Uganda where he trained as a physician. He worked for the Infectious Diseases Control Unit of the Royal Netherlands Army. He is an epidemiologist with the Royal Netherlands Tuberculosis Association.
