About the Author

Michael E. Newton is a historian specializing in the American Revolution and Founding era. He is the author of The Path To Tyranny, Angry Mobs and Founding Fathers, and Alexander Hamilton: The Formative Years. Mr. Newton is a recognized ‘National Hamilton Scholar,’ the chief historian of the proposed Alexander Hamilton & Caribbean History Museum in St. Croix, and the discoverer of the oldest known Hamilton documents. He lectures on Hamilton at museums, national parks, and historical societies across the country and his talks have appeared on C-SPAN3 American History TV. He is considered a leading authority on Alexander Hamilton and his work is regularly cited by other Hamilton scholars and biographers. Michael E. Newton earned multiple degrees and graduated summa cum laude with honors from Arizona State University.
