Aris Melissaratos is a founder of Armel Scientifics, LLC, an investor in over 30 start-up companies in advanced technology. He has been honored as the Baltimore Museum of Industry’s 2009 Industrialist of the Year. He was named the Greater Baltimore Technology Council’s Extraordinary Technology Advocate of 2008. He worked for Westinghouse Electric Corporation 32 Years, retiring as Chief Technology Officer and Vice President for Science and Technology responsible for research and development. He also served as Chief Operations Officer for Westinghouse’s Defense Electronics Group, where he was responsible for $3.2 billion in sales. He recently established the Aris Institute, a private foundation to promote technology innovation. Honored technology scholar-writer N.J.
