Synopsis
Gordon and Li Li are cousins. Gordon lives in Brooklyn and Li Li is from Beijing. The cousins are excited to learn about each other's cities--but wait, Gordon speaks English and Li Li speaks Mandarin! Gordon and Li Li is a simple but vibrant approach to teaching Mandarin words to children. Each page displays a word in both English and Mandarin, and included in the back is an index of all the words and the corresponding Chinese characters. Children will have fun with Gordon and Li Li as they learn to communicate with simple, everyday words.

About the Author
Michele Wong McSween created GORDON & LI LI to teach her two young sons Mandarin. Her diverse background, including a Sociology degree from U.C. Berkeley, a fashion design career at Gap, Inc., and being a full time mother, helped create this colorful, modern approach to teaching children Mandarin.She is a fourth generation Californian who currently lives in Brooklyn, New York with her husband, two sons, and French Bulldog.
