Synopsis
Historical fiction set in World War II England. Having escaped German spies, Jill, her little sister Enid and Enid's pet tortoise Tuppence are lost in war torn England. Hidden in Jill's gas mask box is the secret key to a German Enigma code machine. Home is where bombs rattle Jill's house at night, food is rationed and kids at school tease her about the German refugees living with her family. Worst of all, her Dad is missing. Will Jill get Enid home safely to Mum? Can she expose the spies and will she ever see her Dad again?

About the Author
Patsy Romack is a retired elementary school teacher who enjoyed reading chapter books to her students. She was born in Cambridge, England, attended Edinburgh University in Scotland, and now lives in Anchorage, Alaska. This is her first children's book.
