Jacques Pr vert (1900-1977) was a surrealist, visual artist, and author of several well-known film scripts. His many books of poetry include Paroles, Chose et Autres and Histories. Harriet Zinnes is a poet, short-story writer and literary and art critic. Her collections of poetry include An Eye for an I, I Want to See Something Flying, and Entropisms.
Norman R. Shapiro is professor of Romance languages and literatures at Wesleyan University. He has translated numerous collections of French poetry and theater, including "Selected Poems from "Les Fleurs du mal"" and "One Hundred and One Poems by Paul Verlaine," both published by the University of Chicago Press.
