If you have a sewing machine, you can do it. Just relax and have fun making stuff! Popular author, Pamela Mostek and her daughter Rachel Mostek show how to make sewing faster and more rewarding, with emphasis on making it easy to complete the projects and being proud of the results, instead of sweating over technique and stitching details. The mother-daughter duo focus on using great fabrics with clean, simple designs that everyone can stitch. Their fun-to-follow instructions for the 20 projects include more than 35 photos and 100 illustrations, with practical tips for assembly shortcuts and workable design options. Projects include the colorful Porch Swing Quilt and Pillows with easy raw-edged details; Short & Sweet Apron; a quick table topper and placemats; The Big, Big Bag; an exercise mat; fun and adaptable Altered Jean Jackets; and sew-easy patchwork quilts with ric rac and button accents.

About this title

About the Author

Pamela Mostek and her daughter Rachel Mostek have been making pretty things together for years. The easy, can-do approach that Rachel learned from her mother is what this book is all about, they agree, and they are thrilled to have the opportunity to put their ideas together in Sew Easy Sewing. Veteran book author Pam is also owner of the design and publishing company Making Lemonade Designs. Rachel has contributed patterns to the company’s collection, but this is her first venture into book publishing. In her career in the quilting world, Pam also designs fabrics and teaches nationally. Her art quilts have been accepted into a number of national shows and galleries. Rachel is the busy mother of two young daughters. Her limited extra time is spent learning new approaches to creating and developing projects for her home and family that she can share with quilters and sewers.
