About the Author

Ai-Ling Louie is the author of "Yeh-Shen, A Cindrerella Story from China" (Philomel/Putnam)and biographies of Vera Wang, Yo-Yo Ma, and astronaut Kalpana Chawla (all Dragoneagle Press). Formerly an elementary school teacher and a children's librarian, she now devotes herself to writing. Her pets are her aquarium fish.
