About the Author
Dr. James Clifton is Director of the Sarah Campbell Blaffer Foundation and curator in Renaissance and Baroque Painting, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. He is the co-author of A Portrait of the Artist, 1525-1825: Prints From The Collection of the Sarah Campbell Blaffer Foundation (2005) and The Body of Christ in the Art of Europe and New Spain, 1150-1800 (1997).
Dr. Walter Melion is Asa Griggs Candler Professor of Art History, Emory University and is the author of Shaping the Netherlandish Canon: Karel van Mander's SchilderboeckA" and The Meditative Art: Studies in the Northern Devotional print, 1550-1625
