Andrew Lewis, percussionist, timpanist, and drummer, has worked with the San Francisco Symphony, Leonard Bernstein, John Adams, Elliot Carter, Frank Zappa, Pierre Boulez, Steve Reich, among others, in styles ranging from contemporary chamber music to rock and jazz. A graduate of the Juilliard school, Lewis has taught rhythm for over 30 years. He is presently director of “RHYTHMSOURCE”, a center for rhythmic study and performance, and has introduced an innovative new line of metronomes.
