Synopsis

Love does not suffer from ignorance, injustice, or prejudice—but young lovers often do. Codey’s Place chronicles the struggles of Christine, the white daughter of a plantation owner, and Codediah, the black son of the plantation manager. Born in segregated South Carolina, they must overcome societal traditions to fulfill their love. Can Codediah’s uncompromising sense of his identity and understanding of his place in the world save their love from extinction?
