Synopsis
Set in the not-too-distant future, Julia and the Dream Maker delves into the lives of three graduate students who, riding a wave of technology, are swept along by their own ambitions. What they discover not only challenges their beliefs, but brings about a seminal moment in evolution that could change the course of mankind forever. The central question of the novel-how will our society deal with the Galileos of the DNA age-is especially relevant today given the current political environment with regard to governmental regulation of breakthroughs in biology.

About the Author
P. J. Fischer grew up in Salem, Oregon, and holds a doctorate from the University of Oregon. Fischer's fascination with science's potential is evident in his novels, Julia and the Dream Maker and Green Eyes in the Amazon, in which he explores the inevitable impact of science on our lives.
