Synopsis
In the summer of 885 AD, as Viking legions prepare to storm England, a young Norse prince is captured and sold into slavery. Gunnar, son of Ingmar, will fight as a warrior in the vanguard of King Guthrum's Danish hordes. Torn from his homeland, the enslaved prince longs to to return to the city of his dreams... and to Ilse, the girl he loves. Gunnar's intense yearning, fueled by memories of family and home, creates within him a glittering vision of hope. When he returns to confront his father's killer, Gunnar must choose between vengeance and mercy. For a Viking steeped in a culture of blood-feuds and retribution, this will not be an easy choice.
