About the Author
Alec Gillis and Tom Woodruff, Jr are the co-founders of ADI: Amalgamated Dynamics, Inc. Having provided the Alien Creature effects for both Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection (Gillis and Woodruff also worked for Stan Winston on Aliens), ADI were asked to handle the Creature Effects for AVP. Woodruff also suited up again to resume his role as chief Alien performer for the new movie.

In 1988 Tom Woodruff Jr. and Alec Gillis (both former Stan Winston Studio co-workers) founded Amalgamated Dynamics, which soon became one of the most sought after special effects studios in Hollywood.
